Attorney General Andy Beshear is speaking out against Kentucky’s new right-to-work law.

The Ohio Valley region once helped give rise to the labor movement. Now it’s shifting toward what’s known as right-to-work law. West Virginia and Kentucky have passed right-to-work laws and Ohio is considering a similar bill.

Kentucky governor-elect Matt Bevin has been vocal in his support for so-called "right-to-work" legislation.  On this week's show, we'll discuss the issue as well as the role of labor unions in Kentucky.

After Republicans failed to take control of the Kentucky House of Representatives in November’s election, five counties have now passed local right-to-work ordinances in the face of grim prospects in Frankfort.

So called "right-to-work" legislation has emerged from the Republican-led Kentucky Senate.  The measure will likely run into heavy opposition in the Democratic-controlled House.
