Ky AG Encourages Voters to Report Fraud

Federal and State law enforcement agencies are looking to the general public to report improper electioneering and voter fraud on Tuesday.  The state attorney general's office is taking calls at one-800-328-vote.  

Attorney General Jack Conway admits the anticipated low voter participation in this primary increases the chances of fraud,  "In a low turnout with a lot of local elections, that's where you tend to see a lot of the corruption problems."  "That's where those of us in law enforcement who are monitoring elections need to be the most vigilant," said Conway.

Marathon Petroleum Prevails

A Frankfort judge, in a price gouging case against Marathon Petroleum, has refused to force the oil company to roll back gas prices in Kentucky.   The ruling comes in a case originally filed several years ago, in which the oil company was accused of price gouging following disasters.

Price Gouging Hearing to Continue

Nothing was resolved at a Frankfort hearing in Kentucky's price gouging case against Marathon Oil.  Franklin Circuit Judge Thomas Wingate is in the middle of a murder trial, and rescheduled the Marathon case for Thursday morning.

GOP Repeats Challenge Over Atty Gen’s Brother

For the second consecutive day, the Republican Party of Kentucky is challenging Attorney General Jack Conway to clarify his involvement in a compromised drug investigation involving his younger brother. Earlier this week, Matt Conway resigned from the prosecutor’s office for undisclosed reasons almost a year after it was revealed he lied twice about being tipped off by Louisville police detectives, who told Conway he was the target of a drug investigation.
