A Kentucky man and his transgender wife are suing online retailer Amazon alleging workplace discrimination.

They’re claiming violations of a number of federal and state laws.

Online retail giant Amazon will build an air cargo hub expected to employ more than 2,000 people at the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport.  As WEKU’s Cheri Lawson reports, the facility will support the company's growing fleet of Prime Air cargo planes.

Kentucky economic development officials say Amazon plans a nearly $1.5 billion investment that will create 2,700 full- and part-time jobs.

Boone County Judge Executive Gary Moore, says Amazon’s investment will be “transformational” for the region, including Kenton and Campbell counties.
