Winter Storm Bearing Down on Ky. Sunday and Monday

The National Weather Service has revised its forecast for the weekend and issued a winter storm watch for Sunday and Monday for the entire state of Kentucky. The storm will primarily produce freezing rain and sleet in Western and Central Kentucky, 4-6 inches of snow in Northern Kentucky and a wintry mix of sleet, freezing rain and snow in Eastern Kentucky.

The National Weather Service has revised its forecast for the weekend and issued a winter storm watch for Sunday and Monday for the entire state of Kentucky.

A significant winter storm is moving toward Kentucky and the Ohio Valley. Significant amounts of freezing rain, sleet and snow will be possible from Sunday morning into Monday. The weather service now says precipitation will mainly be snow over southern Indiana and that a significant amount of ice and sleet is possible over central Kentucky.
