WEKU Listener Feedback 3/25/13

Mar 25, 2013

As you likely know, we just finished our Spring Fund Drive and got a lot of comments from listeners along with donations.  Mostly positive, as could be expected.

Send us your comments and then tune in for WEKU Listener Feedback Monday mornings at 8:33 and 8:49, during All Things Considered at 5:33 pm.

During the week, Katy of Lexington left a message about a problem entering the grand prize drawing from the station website.   MaryLinda from Frankfort echoed that concern on Facebook.  That was a problem with a link that we fixed right away.

Susan, “Moreover, it irritates me that I have to do this since I’m already a sustaining member. It’s my opinion that, since my donation goes from season to season and year to year, that I should be entered in the drawings automatically.”

She certainly has a valid point. We’re looking into what we can do about that inconvenience. I’m told there are a number of logistical issues that will need to be overcome but we’ll do what we can as soon as we can.

Here’s a note by e-mail from Jessica in Frankfort, “I was not able to come to the gathering you had a couple of weeks ago. But I wanted to give some feedback: “I love that Wait Wait Don't Tell Me is re-played on Sunday. I like Wits and the other Friday evening shows. I listen to just about all the talk shows, none of the music shows.”

Diana, from Lexington, misses the extended hours of classical music, that once aired every night until 6:00 in the morning. She writes, “I don’t mind some of the jazz shows during the night. But, please, consider those of us who for years depended on WEKU for good cultural programming.”

We're grateful for all the comments and invite you to keep letting us know what you think.

E-mail us at WEKU at EKU.edu. Post on our Facebook page or call our Listener Comment Line, 859-622-1657.  We'll gladly keep your comment anonymous but please be sure to leave your name and callback information.

Then tune in Monday at 8:33 and 8:49 am and 5:33 pm for Listener Feedback on 88.9 WEKU.
