First up, a comment we didn’t have time for last week: Helen, from the Lexington area, emailed us saying she’s no fan of two midday programs on our sister station, Classic 102.1, those being The Score and On a Lighter Note.
She misses the daytime classical music on WEKU, especially Performance Today, saying, “I thought WEKU was ideal the way it used to be. I enjoyed Morning Edition and All Things Considered, then enjoyed listening to classical music during the day.”
On Facebook, Natalie posted, “Just to tell you how much I enjoy "The World" and "BBC NewsHour." They are reliably excellent programs. Engaging and detailed coverage from a welcome international perspective. By contrast, sure wish "The Moth Radio Hour" might take a permanent break. Might just be me but it's too New Yorkey to take for long.”
From the Listener Comment Line, Phyllis, of Prestonburg, apologized for not traveling the 70 miles to the community meeting in Hazard last Thursday, saying, “The most recent comments, a woman shocked me by not liking Prairie Home Companion. I wanted to beg you, please do not pay attention to her.”
We're grateful for all the comments and invite you to keep letting us know what you think. E-mail us at WEKU at EKU.edu. Post on our Facebook page or call our Listener Comment Line, 859-622-1657.
We’ll gladly keep your remarks anonymous but please be sure to leave your name and callback information. Then tune in Monday at 6:33 am, 8:49 am and 5:33 pm for Listener Feedback.
And here’s another reminder of the community meetings we’re holding. We’d like to meet you and get your feedback in person at the three remaining meetings. One of those is this evening at 5:30 in Lexington. It’s at the
Tadoo Lounge at 434 Vine Street. More information online at WEKU dot FM.
