A Very Sordid Wedding Stretches Boundaries of Diversity on Eastern Standard

Jun 22, 2017

A new film, having its Kentucky premiere this week, touches on themes that are very much in the forefront today.

Issues like: marriage equality; family values; cultural diversity; interracial relationships; and the efforts of churches and religion to remain relevant in a changing society.

On this week's show, we'll discuss Diversity in Arts and Culture with guests: Del Shores, writer, director and producer of A Very Sordid Wedding; actor Emerson Collins; Dr. Deborah Core, elder at Bluegrass United Church of Christ; and Jay McCoy, Lexington poet, visual artist and partner in Brier Books, a new independent book shop.
