Thursday was the one-year anniversary of Cameron Batson's death. The 18-year-old, 2010 graduate of Scott High School died of sudden cardiac arrest during a pickup soccer game at his alma mater. He was remembered Thursday with a candlelight vigil between the school's junior varsity and varsity soccer matches against Highlands High School. "It's rough without him," said his mother, Laura Batson. "Dave (her husband) and I are just holding on." But actually, they're doing more than just holding on. They are working hard to turn the death of their son into life for someone else.
