Suspect In Colorado Pipe Bomb Incident Arrested

The man wanted in connection to the discovery of a pipe bomb and two propane tanks at a Colorado shopping mall last week has been arrested in Boulder, The Denver Post reports.

It quotes law enforcement sources as saying that Earl Albert Moore, 65, was taken into custody at a supermarket.

As we reported last week, the explosive device was discovered last Wednesday, on the 12th anniversary of the deadly shooting rampage at nearby Columbine High School. Authorities called last week's incident a case of "domestic terrorism," although there have been doubts raised since about whether it had anything to do with the Columbine anniversary.

According to the Post, Moore has a criminal record that includes a 2005 bank robbery and "multiple larceny convictions, a drug offense and reckless driving."

Denver's KUSA-TV says Moore was arrested after police received a tip from a 911 caller who spotted him at the store. Copyright 2011 National Public Radio. To see more, visit http://www.npr.org/.
