Republicans maintained control of Lexington's 88th House District on Tuesday as voters chose Robert Benvenuti III over Reggie Thomas, a better-financed Democratic candidate. Benvenuti is a former inspector general for the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Thomas is a lawyer.
