Now, after one year of using an intervention program called Read 180, 16-year-old sophomore Lacy Dalton has jumped six grade levels and now reads on par with a seventh-grader. She has read “The Hunger Games” series and is now starting the “Twilight” books. The girl who once thought reading was “stupid” now can’t get enough of it. “I know I can get to a 10th-grade level this year,” she said. “Now that I can do it, I love it!”
