NPR In the News: Nashville's Magdalene Program

NPR wrapped up a three-part series today focusing on the Nashville, TN, nonprofit Magdalene. Reported by correspondent Jacki Lyden, the three-part "Nashville: Up from Prostitution" followed the struggles of participants in the two-year residential program that helps women with criminal histories of addiction and prostitution.

In addition to spending two weeks in the city and interviewing 20 women to the develop the series, Lyden produced an accompanying video with National Geographic photographer Stephen Alvarez
