Lexington Police Launch New Website

Lexington Police are hoping to get more tips on crimes and suspects with a new website. The website is called IDThisPerson.com. It is used by law enforcement agencies around the nation to identify suspects or persons of interest related to criminal activity.

Sergeant Jody Stowers says police officers post photos and information about suspects and citizens can help identify them. Those helping to identify subjects on the site can receive a $25 reward. (Provided the tipster discloses an email address). Tips can also be submitted anonymously.

"They just have to put some information there about who the person is, who the suspect is; they can also let us know where they are at. There's even a space where they can enter any additional information they want."

IDThisPerson.com will be primarily used by the Financial Crimes Unit to help resolve criminal cases involving Identity Theft, Retail Theft, Credit Card Fraud, and various other crimes.
