Kentucky State Police in Richmond continue to investigate a multiple fatality fire in Madison County. The residential fire came on the heels of another tragic fire in west Kentucky. Three people were killed in the house fire late Friday along Oakley Wells Road in rural Madison County.
As of Sunday night, authorities were unable to release information about the identity of the three victims discovered in the debris. Likewise, officials continue to investigate the cause of the blaze. The investigation is being conducted by the State Police arson investigator and a detective. Personnel from the Madison County Fire Department, State Fire Marshall’s office, and Madison County Coroner’s office are assisting. Investigation also continues into a western Kentucky fire early Friday which killed nine people in Muhlenberg County. That fire claimed the life of a mother and eight of her nine children. Two other family members survived the fire.
