Who among us hasn't at one time or another experienced one of those "aha" moments for a new product or device to make life a little easier? Tonight some of the people who have followed through on their ideas will be in Lexington for the seventh annual Central Kentucky Inventors Conference.
Event coordinator Don Skaggs says the show is meant to demonstrate innovation but also provide forward thinkers and general tinkerers with information so they can move their inventions beyond the drawing board and into the marketplace.
"If a person is just looking to get started with inventing or they've got a great idea but they've really never known what to do with it, this is a great place to get started; to learn and find out, where do I go from here?"
The theme for this year's conference is "Innovation Rising". Noted QVC product demonstrator and life-coach Forbes Riley is the keynote speaker. The event is from 6 to 9 Tuesday night at the Central Branch of the Lexington Public Library. It's free and open to the public.
