WERTHEIMER: Despite rising gas prices, the company saw its vehicle sales jump about 25 percent this year, in part because of the popularity of its smaller vehicles, like the Chevy Cruze - although GM also announced today that it is recalling more than 150,000 Cruzes to check that the steering shafts were properly installed.
