Listener Alyce wrote to us this past week, “Now that 88.9 is updated and fixed, how about keeping 88.5 on the air and eliminate that awful occasional belch. The strength can be worked on too. I live in Eubank and some days can’t even get 88.5 in the house. Other days it’s so weak and full of staticky “air” it’s too hard to listen. On the way to work in Somerset, I have to toggle between 88.5 and 88.9. Some days I have to listen to Western to get the news.”
We had a note last weekend from Loren, a listener to Classic 102.1, “Why is playlist for 102.1 only up to Feb 4? Not very helpful on Feb 8.”
We’re checking on what’s going on there but much of the music on that station comes from a satellite service. We’re going to assume the trouble is or was in their system.
And finally, some listeners to 102.1 may know this but we received the following note from the distributor of the quiz show, Says You, “We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Richard Sher, creator, executive producer and host of the long-running wordplay program Says You!. Richard died February 9 after a battle with cancer. He was 66.”
We’re told the program will continue, hosted by the show’s producer Richard’s wife, Laura, for most of the rest of this year while working on long-term plans for “Says You.” The show airs, by the way, every Saturday between noon and 1:00 on Classic 102.1 and via web the web stream available at WKYL.org and WEKU.FM.
We’re always grateful for your feedback.
