The former Soviet Republic of Ukraine has been in constant turmoil this year, turmoil that has apparently led to the downing of a Malaysian Airlines jet with 298 civilians aboard.

On this week's show, we'll discuss why we in the U.S. and in Kentucky should care about what's going on over there with Dr. Ken Slepyan History Professor at Transylvania University; Natasha Williams, Artistic/Managing Co-Director of Balagula Theatre and native of Russia who studied and worked in Ukraine; and Ambassador Carey Cavanaugh, professor and director of the Patterson School of Diplomacy at the University of Kentucky.
