It’s time for our weekly chat featuring arts and cultural activities with Rich Copley and Harriett Hendren of the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Today, they begin by highlighting some new named is local Lexington music.


Lexington-based Magnolia Boulevard is Ryan Allen on keys, Todd Copeland on drums, Maggie Noelle on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, John Roberts on bass and Gregg Erwin on electric guitar.

Songwriter and rapper Abraham Mwinda, of Lexington, Ky., in his home studio in Lexington, Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Mwinda has been making music since he was 7-years-old. Mwinda is hosting an album release concert for his debut full length album titled "Dreamer" at the Black Box Theatre on July, 29.
